None of her friends could empathise
For none had loved so hard and lost
Few had fleeting flings
While others had broken strings
Meaning little while they lasted
and nothing when parted
Some had rings on their mates and
beginnings of forevers in definite dates
While all she had were blurs
of memories and hopes for more.
